Our Garden

Our Building

Our Classes

We are planning to add fruit trees to Sweet Pea House Farms, along with raised bed gardens that can provide food to reduce costs. This initiative will also demonstrate gardening techniques to women and offer children the opportunity to play in the dirt and everyone access to fresh vegetables and fruit.

Along providing areas that have flowers and areas that sit up for being able to just enjoy time outside and the beauty God provides. Below will be gallery of ideas that Sweet Pea House is wanting to provide for women and children on the property.

We are looking to help women and children become

  Happy, Healthy, and Whole again

Sweet Pea House Farms is in the works to build a 40x60 structure on a farm in Ava, Douglas County, Missouri. It will include a kitchen for women to cook, clean, and socialize, along with space for cooking classes. The building will have three apartments, each accommodating up to 11 people, for a total of 33 women and children.

Your donation will help us to continue our mission of supporting our community. Every dollar counts and will make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

We plan to offer classes that teach resourceful skills such as sewing, cooking, gardening, and more. These classes aim for participants to finish with practical items to apply their new skills. For gardening, attendees will receive pots, soil, and seeds; for sewing, patterns, fabric, and machines; for cooking, a starter kit for the kitchen, among other supplies. Additionally, homeschooling for children will be available if mothers choose not to enroll their child or children in the local school in Ava.

We Need Your Support Today!

We have office space

We’re thrilled to announce that Sweet Pea House Farms

has found a new office space! 🎉

This space will be more than just walls—it will be a hub for meetings, planning, and dreaming big as we continue building hope and healing in our community.

Even more exciting? It’s large enough to house a thrift store Butterfly Kisses Resale, providing a steady stream of income to support the life-changing work of Sweet Pea House Farms.

Every shelf stocked, every item sold, and every person welcomed through our doors will help fund safe housing, outreach, and empowerment for survivors of domestic violence.

Thank you for being part of this journey—your support makes it all possible.
