💜 God’s View on Domestic Violence: A Call to Love, Not Harm

ree

Domestic violence is one of the most painful realities many face — often hidden behind closed doors and silent tears. But make no mistake: God sees. God cares. And God does not approve of abuse in any form.

💔 Abuse Is Not Love

The Bible tells us that love is patient, kind, and not self-seeking (1 Corinthians 13:4–5). Abuse — whether physical, emotional, verbal, or spiritual — is the opposite of love. It seeks to control, harm, and silence. God never intended for relationships to be places of fear or harm. He designed them to reflect His love — a safe place of honor, peace, and mutual respect.

🙏 God’s Heart for the Broken

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. ”If you have been hurt, know that you are not forgotten. God’s heart breaks when His children suffer. He does not call you to stay in danger or accept mistreatment. Instead, He calls you into safety, healing, and restoration.

🕊️ Silence Is Not God’s Will

Too often, survivors feel pressure to stay quiet — out of fear, shame, or even because of misused Bible verses about submission or forgiveness. But God never asks you to submit to abuse. Forgiveness does not mean staying in harm’s way. God’s will is not silence or suffering; it’s freedom. Galatians 5:1 says, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free.”

💪 You Can Find Hope and Help

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, please reach out for help. You do not have to walk alone. There are people — and churches — who will walk beside you, pray with you, and help you find safety. God has a plan for your life — one filled with peace, not fear.

🌷 God Redeems What Was Broken

Healing takes time, but God is a master at restoring what was lost. Isaiah 61:3 promises that He gives “beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, and praise instead of despair. ”Your story doesn’t end with pain — it can become a testimony of God’s power to heal and renew.
